Why didn't I just let Rhea say that Athena has Metis's owl eyes (since that actually is what she says in the Swedish version) on page 23? Then it would have been less strange that she starts talking about owl eyes with Hades now (so, yeah, it's Athena who says that her eyes have been called "owl eyes").

That Hades too has bright eyes is my own invention, by the way. I don't think the colour of his eyes is ever described in the ancient texts.

Other than that, I'm still a bit unsure about the script for this page. But I won't redraw anything until the whole story is finished.

Vilket fint slut på den sidan. Jag gillar Hestia mer och mer för varje gång hon är i bild.

Tack! Hestia är en sån där person som man bara inte kan låta bli att tycka om. ^^

Poor Athene! She had a rough last couple of years, I bet, and things aren't going to be any easier any time soon, are they?

No, I'm afraid it's going to take a while before her life becomes a bit less fucked up.

Yeah, I was afraid of that.

I actuallty tried the bean soup recipe you posted (didn't use lard though ;) )and I do have to say that after a long and particularly annoying day at work first making it and then eating it in the quiet kitchen made me think maybe the world isn't such horrible place after all :) . So perfect comfort food indeed :D

Oh, you did? When I read the recipe it sounded like it could be a pretty good dish (minus the lard. Yuck). Yeah, the world usually seems like a much better place after you have eaten something nice. :D

Hestia is so kind!

Herodot mentioned that the Libyans said that Athena was actually Poseidon's daughter and that was the reason why Athena's eyes were blue-green like the sea (or like owl's eyes) and like Poseidon's eyes. So it's kinda funny that you gave Aidoneus the owl's eyes.

I can't wait for the next pages! I love it how you actually make Athena the first in universe who asked behind the working of the things... (English isn't my maternal language, so please excuse me if that sentense make no sens at all... :o :s :( )

The reason why I gave Hades bright eyes from the beginning was that I wanted his eyes to look cold. Then I realized that I had drawn Athena's eyes the same way, so that she and Hades stood out as the only obvious bright-eyed ones of the Olympians (usually I don't draw the iris of my characters at all, unless it's supposed to be someone with very special eyes).

Thank you! And don't worry, I understood perfectly what you meant. :)

I think it works well for them to start talking about their eyes, rather than having Rhea do it. Back then there was already so much stuff going on, now Athena has the chance to get emotional. :)
