I just love the Mexican combination of skulls and flowers, so I wanted to make an another drawing of the Aztec goddess Mictecacihuatl (the queen of the Aztec underworld), but I ended up drawing a mixture of La Catrina (a skeleton in fancy clothes) and Santa Muerte (a skeletal figure usually holding a scythe). Oh, well. At least she's wearing flowers.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. That's cool. In Sweden we didn't do anything special at all at All Saint's Day when I was a kid. We just put candles at the graves of our dead. But nowadays it's pretty mixed up with traditions of Halloween.
