I hadn't enough concentration to do anything useful last night, so I inked a drawing from my sketchblock.

This is Hades before he became the god of the dead and moved down to the Underworld. Before he and his siblings took the power from the older generation of gods. His life was a mess back then. He is oversensitive to intense sunlight and gets sick during the summer, he has a hard time to sleep at night and people are often telling him that he is doing things wrong. He doesn't show much of what he feels on the surface, but his self-esteem has almost fallen into pieces. :no:

Since this took place before the Olympian gods had gotten their rights and honours, I figured it was appropriate to place it during the Minoan civilization. ;)

(Av någon anledning tyckte jag frasen "Gräv ner Hades" skulle passat bra här...och faktiskt som ett fras till hans fördel ;))

:w00t: Yes, it's the clothes, but also the hair style. However, the fashion doesn't differ so very much from that of classical Greece. The changes were quite subtile. And besides that, I have a tendency to draw my characters in clothes of Mycenaean style (which differs even less from the Minoan), just because it's easier to draw. ^^;

It's the "special" ones who grow up to be really awesome persons, like famous cartoonists or lords of the dead. ;)
